The organization offers free medical check-ups to individuals in eight different departments, including gynecology, pediatrics, dental, ophthalmology, general medicine, dermatology, ENT and Chest Medicine. Each department is headed by a qualified doctor who offers consultation services to individuals who require it. The organization ensures that all the necessary medical equipment and supplies are available to the doctors to provide quality medical services. The free check-up facility ensures that people can receive medical treatment without worrying about the costs. Apart from the departments mentioned above, we have a fully equipped physiotherapy center manner by a trained Physiotherapist, who provides services to the patients as prescribed by the doctors.
The free pharmacy is an important service offered by the organization. After the consultation, the patients can collect their prescribed medication from the pharmacy without paying any fees. The pharmacy is well stocked with medicines and supplements, ensuring that all individuals can receive the necessary medication to get rid of their maladies. The NGO also ensures that the medicines are stored in proper conditions, maintaining their efficacy and quality.
The organization also provides spectacles and dentures as prescribed by our specialists mostly free of cost or at a subsidized rate for those who are above poverty line. This service is particularly beneficial for individuals from lower-income families who cannot afford expensive eyeglasses or dentures. All the above facilities are available at our Medical Centre at Pilkhana, Howrah, while at our Banipur Centre, we have a primary health care dispensary manned by a doctor, where free medical checkup and consultations are provided to the local community as also free medicines are supplied to them as prescribed. However, we are not in a position to expand the facilities in Banipur for want of funds. But we intend to expand our medical activities at Banipur since adequate space is available there for such expansion.
In conclusion, the free medical services provided by the organization are an essential service for individuals who cannot afford quality healthcare. The organization’s services include free doctor check-ups in eight departments, a free pharmacy, physiotherapy, free or subsidized cost of making spectacles and dentures.
